This early 19th-century mourning ring features a bold central foil-backed garnet in a deep crimson hue, framed by ornate goldwork. The shoulders of the ring are intricately carved with delicate leaf motifs, adding a naturalistic elegance to the design. Flanking the garnet are two black enamel teardrops, a traditional symbol of mourning.
