The Antique Victorian Old Mine Cut Diamond Half Hoop Ring
Couldn't load pickup availability
This elegant Victorian ring features eight graduated old mine-cut diamonds totalling 0.66 ct, held within silver grain-and-claw settings. The light metal settings complement the quirky hand-cut stones wonderfully, allowing them to sparkle brilliantly. The cut of these diamonds was common from the early 18th century to the 19th century, with a soft, more square shape and distinctive antique glow not found in diamonds today. The silver set diamonds are framed by lined shoulders, leading to a plain yellow gold band.
This ring, circa the early Victorian era, tests and is assessed as 9ct gold with a silver setting. Two diamonds have slight chips, which are not noticeable when worn and are expected given the ring's age.
Please note that this ring is currently on display at Hemswell Antique Centres and will have a delivery delay of 3–4 working days.
