This stunning Roman ring features a freeform tumble-polished garnet at its heart, with a stunning deep brownish-red colour. The garnet is rub over set, the surrounding gold featuring a crimped design. The gemstone sits on a wide gold band with detailed engraving; Clovers emblazon each shoulder, leading into a scrolling design that forms into heart-shaped detailing. The foliate engraving leads to a plain yellow gold band, tapering gently at the shoulders. The gold of this ring has a notably rich colour due to the high carat nature of the metal, and though the shank has become slightly misshapen and oval over time, this piece can still be worn comfortably.
