This fantastic ring, circa the late 20th century, features two stunning star sapphires that reveal asterism when hit by light, possessing a soft and alluring glow. The star sapphires are held by pointed claws in an elegant cross-over design, leading into a plain yellow band.
Asterism (coming from the Latin word 'aster', meaning star) is a rare optical effect caused by two or more sets of parallel inclusions within a gemstone that cause a star-like reflection, seen here in our six-rayed star sapphires.
