The Vintage Light Shouldered Solitaire Diamond Ring

A solitaire old cut diamond sits in claw settings for maximum light, on light shoulders joining to a solid band. This ring bears the maker's mark WG&S for William Greenwood & Sons, a jeweller active in the 1920s and 1930s.

The diamond has visible inclusions, there are no surface reaching cracks or damage to the stone and its cut is clear and well achieved. Some light wear to the base of the gallery commensurate with age. Diamond carat approximately 0.3ct, total ring weight 2.47g.
