The Vintage Illusion Set Brilliant Cut Diamond Solitaire Ring

This ring's brilliant cut diamond of approximately 0.23ct sits in a raised illusion setting. The metalwork around the diamond gives it a larger visual impression and assists the diamond with its sparkle. The underside of the gallery is well designed to allow light in underneath the diamond so it can look its best. This joins to a band which is stamped 18CT & PLAT.

Circa 1960's, this ring was acquired in a set with a wedding band hallmarked 1965 so we believe this ring to date from the same period. It is in good overall condition, with light wear commensurate with age and the diamond remains well held. The 18ct stamp to the inside of the band is worn from a polishing after this ring was resized at some point in its history.
