The Vintage Hematite Centurion Ring

Sold for £269.00

This ring features an engraved dark hematite stone, portraying an abstract design of a centurion. The stone is held by ornate shoulders which join the head and surround both top and bottom of the ring with fancy dotted detailing.

Centurions were officers of the ancient Roman army who commanded one hundred men. They were strong willed and worked hard to ascend the ranks. Enforcing discipline, training, and order were their job. The term Centuries, or Centuriae, means tribe or company.

The ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of London for 9ct in 1987. It is in very good condition and the stone remains well held. The ring has usual light marks commensurate with age.

Ring weight: 3.4g
