The Italian Vintage Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Ring

This exemplary Art Deco style ring ring features 18 diamonds set in rows of silver above and below a 6 diamond and 3 oval cut sapphire gold centrepiece.

The detailing and style continues to the band where the metalwork is separated into three, joining together for two square spaces before meeting at the base. The sapphires are a deep blue in colour, complimented by their 18ct yellow gold setting.

The ring is stamped 750 for 18 carat, with Italian marks. These marks read "1 PD", which means this ring was made in Padua, a city in the north of Italy, by the maker Sandi Bruno, who had his hallmark registered from 1935 to 1971. This beautifully designed piece of standout jewellery appears to come from around the early part of the 20th Century and has been extremely well cared for.
