The Vintage 1969 9ct Gold Bloodstone Signet Ring
Sold November 2025
This fabulous signet ring boasts a stunning bloodstone, which is a beautiful deep forest green colour with flecks of red. The broad shoulders slope into a plain band.
Bloodstone is a dark green to a dark bluish-green variety of chalcedony that is typically speckled with small, red or brown spots or flecks. Bloodstone was believed to have magical powers throughout ancient history and was used as an amulet for protection and healing purposes.
This ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham for 9ct gold in 1969. It is in good condition with light marks commensurate with age. There is some wear to the bloodstone; however, this is much more noticeable under HD photography and barely noticeable when worn.
