The Ornate Banded 19th Century Triangular Emerald, Ruby and Diamond Ring
Sold September 2021
This stunning piece of early Victorian jewellery showcases some wonderful details in its design. Circa 1850's with a band that tests as 14ct gold and a silver setting for old Swiss cut diamonds.
The band is ornately carved all the way around in a varying pattern that matches on each side. The shoulders lift to create a complex gallery to hold bezel set old Swiss cut diamonds. These then join to the central gems of the piece, a step cut ruby between two triangular step cut emeralds.
One of this ring's most precious details is the ornate decoration to the inside of the band, never seen when worn this nature themed detailing was exclusively for the owner to enjoy.
