The Antique Victorian Chased Opal Ring

This incredible ring's oval cabochon opal is set to a gallery of detailed chased patterning that leads to its shoulders. The maker's mark WG SG is visible to the inside and stamped for 18ct. Walter & Samson George were active gold workers from 1868.

At around 150 years old, this ring is in good condition. There is some wear to the chasing consistent with age and is fully visible in photographs. The opal is in very good condition - a lovely example of late Victorian ring design and manufacture.
