The Early 20th Century Ten Pearl And Diamond Solitaire Ring
Sold September 2021
A solitaire Old European Cut diamond sits proudly in the centre of this ring, held aloft in a claw setting, surrounded by a wave of pearls on each side.
The diamond, of approximately 0.11ct, is bright and clear and the pearls are all in good condition. The pearls are set in twist galleries that join above and below the diamond, and curl out in ornate metalwork to the edges. This gallery of pearls and diamond joins to a band with a worn maker's mark and a stamp that appears to read 18ct. The metal tests as 18ct also.
From around the early part of the 20th Century this ring is in good condition for its age. There is usual wear to the gallery and diamond setting, the diamond and pearls are all still well held.
