The Antique 1890 Victorian Garnet and Pearl Ring

Sold for £365.00

This 9 carat gold ring is hallmarked from the Assay Office of Chester, in 1890. It features 3 large garnets (totalling around 0.85ct) and 4 split pearls.

Inside the band of the ring there are two small engravings, 'ET' and 'DC' most likely the Victorian Era lovers who were the original owners of this antique.

The three garnets appear to be later replacements, possibly replacing a different stone or colour that had gone out of fashion. The garnets are three slightly different shades with a purple, red and orange hue to them respectively.

At 130 years old this ring is in good condition, with an interesting history.
