The Antique Victorian 1900 Ruby and Diamond Ring
Sold December 2023
This charming Victorian ring holds two cushion-shaped medium colour rubies in the centre with a mix of eight old-cut and rose-cut diamonds flanked to either side, in triangular-shaped deep settings. There are approximately 0.03ct of diamonds in total. The intricately carved head features scalloped edges which lead into plain polished shoulders.
The stones have a deep setting amongst the detailing, so they are most suited for daily wear as they are not likely to get caught or damaged during everyday activities.
The ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham for 18ct gold in 1900.
