The Antique Victorian 1897 Pearl and Ruby Ring
Sold August 2024
This alluring piece features a navette-shaped head, filled with 16 luscious half-pearls surrounding a gorgeous dark purplish-red ruby of 0.10ct. The split shoulders frame the head with an elegant flair, allowing the shape of the head and gemstones to shine.
This ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham for 18ct gold in 1887. Two pearls are replacements. However, all stones are well-held and the ring is in fully wearable condition.
