The Antique Victorian 1874 Pearl and Turquoise Ring
Sold June 2024
This Victorian ring features a pearl in an angled square gallery, flanked by two squares of four turquoises each side joined to the plain band by ornate shoulders.
This antique ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham in 1874 for 15ct gold.
The pearl and turquoises remain well held in their settings and the band carries a maker's mark of M&G. The ring has some usual scuffs and marks commensurate with being nearly a century and a half old. The gold has some minor signs of porosity from the casting process the the back of the ring head and shoulders which are more notable through our high contrast macro photography than they are to the naked eye. A well kept antique Victorian piece of history.
