The Antique Rose Cut and Blue Enamel Ring

This ring features a range of rose cut diamonds set around a blue enamel circle with a larger rose cut in the centre. This ring's diamond carat measure 1.15ct but the nature of rose cuts and they way they are set means this can only be stated as an estimation.

The outer setting of this ring shows signs that it once was also enamelled, as can be seen from the pattern of the metal and some small residual marks of blue. The inside of the ring's head shows newer joins whether either the shank was replaced, or perhaps this was a treasured brooch which has been converted to a ring.

A blend of antique cut diamonds and ring head and band, this appears to be in our opinion a late Georgian or early Victorian antique piece that has some 20th Century components and work.
