The Antique Late Victorian Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond Ring

This stunning ring's navette shaped face is set with a cushion cut blue sapphire of 1.18 carats, within a surround of old European brilliant cut diamonds, the diamonds all totalling approximately 1.5 carats.
Stamped 18ct with a maker's mark of C.A.F, likely Charles Arthur Faraday, this circa late Victorian ring is in excellent overall condition with just light marks commensurate with age.

Accompanied by a gemmological report stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) origin, with no indications of heat treatment, a scan of this report can be seen in the image gallery.
