The Antique Georgian Pearl and Enamel Monogram Mourning Ring
Sold December 2025
This striking Georgian mourning ring is a fine example of early 19th-century sentimentality. The marquise-shaped design features a delicate surround of natural seed pearls, symbolising purity and remembrance. Beneath the domed crystal lies an intricately woven lock of hair, accompanied by a central panel adorned with a fine script monogram, all set against a dark enamel backdrop. Crafted in warm rose gold, with elegant engraved shoulders, this piece beautifully captures the era’s tradition of memorial jewellery, preserving a timeless connection to a loved one.
This ring, circa the Georgian era (1800-1830), is in fair and wearable condition. Some pearls behind the panel are no longer in their original setting position and move beneath the crystal panel.
