The Antique Georgian 1827 Ornate Gold & Enamel Ring

This stunningly crafted ring from 1827 features details the entire way around the ring. The central focus is a blue enamel panel on an ornate surround, which sits on a black enamel panel which in turn has detailed gold work around its edges. The outside of the gallery is well presented with repeated pattern work, which is held on four points to the band. The band starts as two dramatic curls of gold, which join to meet the base of the band which is also well detailed.

The hallmarks from the Assay Office of London confirm this excellent condition 18ct antique to be nearly 200 years old, and there is remembrance engraving to the back of the gallery for two people lost the previous year.

This ring measures O½ but please be aware that due to its large head and shape it may fit more like an O.
