This Georgian mourning ring, dated 1777, is a timeless piece of sentimental craftsmanship. The oval design features a central glazed compartment showcasing finely woven hair bordered by a delicate surround of natural seed pearls. The warm gold band carries an engraved dedication on the reverse, reading "I Adams ob. 25 Nov. 1777 Æt. 19," preserving the memory of a young life lost. A poignant and beautifully understated example of 18th-century mourning jewellery, this piece is a moving testament to enduring love and remembrance.
Testing as 15ct rose gold, this ring is in good overall condition, with light wear commensurate with age.
