The Antique Edwardian 1908 Sapphire and Diamond Ring
Sold November 2021
This ring's head is composed of three royal blue coloured sapphires and four diamonds, and is joined to a band fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of London for 18ct gold in 1908.
Towards the end of the Edwardian era, 1908 was the year the Olympics first came to London, and in June saw the first large Suffragette rally.
A well cared-for ring, the stones are all well held and the ring is in good overall condition. There is a small nick close to the bottom of the band which is eye visible, but cannot be felt when worn and does not appear to be of any structural concern.
