The Antique Edwardian 1907 Five Diamond Gold Ring
Sold May 2021
This classic Edwardian design of ring features 5 Old European Cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.1ct of diamonds. The diamonds are held in an eye shaped setting which joins to ornate scrolled shoulders as part of a band fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham in 1907 for 18 carat gold.
The band has only regular wear commensurate with age, and the diamonds are all well held. One diamond appears to have been set more recently, likely the original diamond after becoming loose in its past rather than a replacement as it matches the others. At over 100 years old this ring is in good overall condition.
