The Antique Edwardian 1905 Sapphire & Diamond Navette Gold Ring
Sold March 2022
This sixteen diamond and three sapphire ring holds its sapphires in the central settings and surrounds them with rose cut diamonds of around 0.01ct each for a total of approximately 0.16ct of diamonds on this antique ring from the Edwardian era.
This ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Chester for 18ct gold in 1905. The ring head has intricate metalwork behind the head to allow light to enter for the sapphires to be well lit when worn, and the ring's shoulders are shaped and patterned like leaves raising to a flower that is the ring's head.
A wonderfully detailed and good condition ring, it has clearly been cherished for over a century.
