This dazzling antique Victorian ring features a wide band with two rubies framing an old mine cut diamond. The rubies are in deep cut settings, in a celestial starburst design.

Victorians were captivated by the night sky, believing that stars were symbols of guidance and wisdom. The star motif was thought to symbolise someone with a sense of direction or spiritual guidance.

This ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Chester for 18ct gold in 1897.
