The Antique 3 Carat Diamond Cluster Ring

This ring centres on a cushion shaped Old European Cut diamond of approximately 1.01ct set in white claws and surrounded by seven cushion shaped Old European Cut diamonds totalling approximately 2.02ct. The ring head is met by platinum-fronted shoulders holding a further 0.05ct of diamonds which joins to a band stamped 18ct. The ring tests as 18ct yellow gold and platinum.

From the diamond cuts and the wear to the band, and being acquired in an auction containing a range of antique pieces it is our opinion this ring dates from the early 20th Century. There is some usual wear commensurate with age to the base of the band and some light wear to the underside of the ring's head on one side consistent from being worn next to another ring for many years. This ring is in overall good condition with all stones well held.
