The Antique 19th Century Emerald and Diamond Ring
Sold April 2023
Four mine-cut diamonds surround this ring's emerald-cut emerald. In an ornate bezel setting, the emerald has a medium green colour, which complements the gold colour of its setting. Intricate metalwork around the settings and shoulders creates an ornate gallery of stones in a classic style often seen in pre-Victorian jewellery.
The band tests as 15ct gold with the diamond setting assessed as sterling silver.
At an estimated 150-200 years old, this ring is in good overall condition. There is usual wear commensurate with age to the ring and settings, but all stones are well held. Our goldsmith performed some laser work to secure the setting of the right diamond.
