The Antique 1900 Shield Memorial Signet Ring

This antique signet ring features a shield motif and leaf detailing occupies the shoulders. The band is plain and it would have originally carried a lock of hair, travelling around the outside of the band.

Inside the band, there is an engraved message which reads 'In memory of dear father June 11th 1902'.

This ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Chester for 9ct gold in 1900. It has some scratches and wear commensurate with its age, and loss to the rim on one shoulder connecting to the band.
