The Antique 1874 Pearl and Hairwork Mourning Ring
Sold August 2024
This remarkable mourning ring features a central grey paste surrounded by five dreamy split pearls, set in a daisy-shaped design with a lined detail boarder. This head sits against a plaited hairwork band which spans the entirety, with six engraved sections stationed evenly around the band.
This ring is fully hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham for 15ct gold in 1874. There is some nacre wear to the pearls, but the stones are well-held and the ring is in good wearable condition.
Please find the Expert Report, (see the end image in the gallery) for more detailed information.
Please note that, due to the hairwork design, this ring is excluded from our Complimentary Resizing service.
