The Ancient Viking Twisted Wirework Gold Ring

This wonderful Viking ring, circa 900-1100 AD, features a slender beaded wire coiled around a thick twisted gold rod, graduating slightly from the centre and tapering to a solid rounded shank.

This 21ct gold ring is in fantastic wearable condition despite being over a millennium old.

Approximately size M½ UK/AU, 6¼ US/CA, 53 FR/RU, 16¾ DE

Authenticity: This ring is accompanied by an X-ray Fluorescence Analysis, which examined all constructive parts, concluding "The gold alloy is very pure, with the average of 21.05 Karat. The high karat gold comes mixed with silver and copper as well as trace elements such as iron, platinum and manganese, all typical for impure ancient alloys and buried objects" and "None of the analyses give rise to a suspicion of forgery or contemporary copy".
