The Ancient Bronze Cooking Ring

This bronze ring has a circular head which depicts a person in a gown, standing over a pot, perhaps depicted in the middle of cooking. 

Circa 100-1400 AD, the band shows signs of wear but the ring is still in fully wearable condition.

Provenance: Acquired as part of a group lot from an established ancient antiques gallery in north London. A photocopy of the certificate from the gallery will be included with your purchase. Formerly, in a private UK collection; From an old Oxford collection formed in the 1980s.
