The 19th Century Ornate Carved Solitaire Diamond Ring
Sold April 2021
This ring's metalwork is carved in ornate patterning from the sides all the way up to the gallery that holds a bright and striking cushion shaped Old European cut diamond of approximately 0.31 carat. The pattern work surrounds 6 petal shaped reliefs in the gallery, each one forming part of the claw setting that holds the diamond in place like it were the pistil of a flower.
At around 150 years old this ring is in excellent wearable condition. A wonderful example of jewellery craftsmanship.
