This lovely Victorian ring is hallmarked for Birmingham, with lettering indicating it was made in 1873 (the year that construction began on The Natural History Museum in London).
This ring utilises a split gallery and open back to give the old mine cut diamond of approximately 0.45 carats (4.86mm) the space and light to dazzle. The shank is hallmarked for 22 carat gold.
At nearly 150 years old this ring is a stunning example of jewellery that gives the diamond centre stage. It is in excellent condition and has clearly been cared for over the years.
