This 9 carat gold ring, hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham in 1979, features a mixed cut solitaire ruby in a bezel setting. This warm ruby of plumb-like colour is complimented in colour by the light colour of the yellow gold.

At over 40 years old this ring is in good condition, with some light wear to the setting consistent with age. The ruby is well held.
