This Edwardian ring from 1909 shows early design aesthetics later seen in the Art Deco movement from 1910 to the 1930s. The Old European Cut diamond of around 0.25 (4mm) carats is held in place by an 8 point mount giving it the maximum light to be able to shine and making the underside of the diamond appear suspended.
A wonderful piece of history in a beautiful style, at over 100 years old and in good condition. There are some small signs of porosity from the original casting process.
