Dual Twist Crossover Diamond Engagement Ring, Vintage (1947), 9ct Gold & Platinum, 0.22 carat, M½

This stunning two diamond gold and platinum dates from 1947 or earlier, with a light inscription of "R.R - J.C 2/4/47". This engraving is on the inside of the shank (so not visible when worn) as a reminder of the ring's significant history.

The diamonds are each around 0.11 carats and mounted in a 'toi et moi' formation, from the French meaning "you and me", it symbolises how two unique and brilliant individual things can become something even more beautiful when placed together.

The shoulders of the ring are platinum also, with a pattern and detailing, setting the stage for the two diamonds. A well cared for ring, that has been a symbol of love for nearly three quarters of a century since the beginning of European peacetime.
