The Vintage Cope & Co Diamond Engagement Ring

This gorgeous ring's bright and lively old brilliant cut diamonds sit atop claw mounts. The gallery is held on each site by shoulders featuring a two part split bridge and a leaf raising to meet the top of the mounts. The shoulders join to a band at a point of two stripe patterning, with the band marked 18Ct & Plat. 

The principal diamond of this ring measures 4.8mm (0.4ct), with its sibling diamonds measuring 3.4mm and 3.5mm for 0.15ct and 0.16ct respectively, giving a total diamond carat weight to this ring of approximately 0.71ct.

The ring comes with a box from G&F Cope & Co jewellers. Marked Nottingham, Grantham, Mansfield and Worksop. The well known jewellers increased its properties from those 4 to a 5th in the 1960s so this ring is best placed from the 1950s.
