The Vintage Art Deco Honeycomb Diamond Ring

Sold for £595.00

This lovely Art Deco style ring holds its 3 primary old brilliant cut diamonds in hexagonal illusion set mounts, met by shoulders with two diamonds each joining to a band with fitted sizing balls.

The principal diamond measures 2.92mm, with two sibling diamonds in the gallery of 2.78mm each, and the shoulder diamonds are approximately 1.73mm for a total diamond weight of around 0.32 carat.

The ring is in good overall condition and by style appears to be from the early part of the 20th century. The sizing balls were added more recently. This is a common practice for people who receive a ring through inheritance that is a little too large for them and don't want to remove any part of their ring.

Size L½ UK / Australia, 5⅞ US / Canada (with sizing balls)

These mean the ring measures a J½ UK (5 US) on a jeweller's sizer but fits comfortably on an L½ finger as the balls do not restrict the overall size of the band, but just provide points of stability. This ring likely fits comfortably for someone up to size M½ UK (6¼ US).
