This piece, circa 1880, is a wonderful gold and turquoise forget-me-not ring. It features a central diamond chip surrounded by turquoise petals and ornately decorated shoulders. There is a glazed locket compartment to the reverse (sealed).
This ring has provenance, having come from the estate of the late Jane Sumner, a well respected antiques dealer with a career which spanned five decades. Over her years of trading, she operated shops in Saffron Walden and Thaxted, Essex, London (Fulham Road) and Hungerford, Berkshire as well as having run the prestigious events The Kenilworth Antiques Fair and London Antiques Dealers Fair (Café Royal, Piccadilly, London) for many years.
This 15ct ring is in very good wearable condition. There is a sign of previous resize solder to the base of the band, a common sight on much older antiques. We would happily correct this free of charge should that be desired. Please contact us for details.
